1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Uterio's website, applications, products, and services (collectively, the "Services").

Uterio is operated by UTERIO LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16178146 and registered address at Flat 5 Hudson Yard House 1a, Onega Gate, London, England, SE16 7PG.

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Services.

2. Our Services

Uterio provides medical education and health technology products in obstetrics and gynaecology and related fields. Our Services include, but are not limited to:

  • MRCOG exam preparation resources
  • Specialty training application resources
  • Medical education content
  • Online learning platforms

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you guarantee that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Inaccurate, incomplete, or obsolete information may result in the immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer or device. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.

4. Paid Accounts and Fees

Access to certain features of Uterio may require payment of fees. These fees could include one-time charges or subscription fees. You may also have the option to set up automatic recurring payments for subscription fees.

Before making any payments, including activating or updating recurring payments, you will be presented with the opportunity to review the associated fees before accepting them.

Recurring subscriptions are set to automatically renew unless canceled as described within Uterio at least 24 hours before the current subscription period expires.

Uterio may offer a free trial period during which you can access limited features of the service for a specified duration. You can manage or cancel your trial subscription through the methods outlined in Uterio.

5. Payment Processing

Payment processing services for Uterio may be facilitated by a third-party payment processor, such as Stripe Inc. ("Payment Processor"). The Payment Processor manages credit card transactions for Uterio.

Any information you provide to the Payment Processor will be handled in accordance with their privacy policy. By supplying your payment details to access Uterio's services, you consent to Uterio sharing relevant information with our Payment Processor to facilitate the service.

6. Refund Policy

By purchasing our digital question bank or other digital content, you acknowledge and agree that access to the content is granted immediately upon payment. Consequently, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you forfeit your statutory right to cancel the purchase within the 14-day cooling-off period.

However, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if the digital content is faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose, you are entitled to a repair or replacement. If a suitable remedy cannot be provided, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund.

To report any issues with the digital content, please contact our customer support team at founders@uterio.com within 30 days of purchase.

7. Intellectual Property

The Services and their original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of UTERIO LTD and its licensors. The Services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United Kingdom and foreign countries.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of UTERIO LTD.

8. User Content

You retain all rights to any content you submit, post, or display on or through the Services. By submitting, posting, or displaying content on or through the Services, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute your content in any existing or future media.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

The content provided through our Services is for informational and educational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

Exam and Training Disclaimer

While we strive to provide high-quality educational resources, we make no guarantees regarding outcomes. Specifically:

  • We do not guarantee successful passing of exams (including MRCOG) for users using our question banks
  • We do not guarantee securing specialty training places for users using our specialty training resources
  • We are not liable for unsuccessful exam attempts or failure to secure training places

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. UTERIO LTD MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS AND NEGATES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OR OTHER VIOLATION OF RIGHTS.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL UTERIO LTD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Services after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Services.
